After calling a Vim function or a mapping, when I press the ‘u’
key to undo the last change, Vim undoes all the changes made by the mapping/function. Why? When you call a function or a mapping, all the operations performed by the function/mapping are treated as one single operation. When you undo the last operation by pressing ‘u’, all the changes made by the function/mapping are reversed.
